Travel Assistance Program
If you are looking for peace of mind while traveling, consider the Travel Assistance Program. This program is available for trips more than 100 miles from home or international travel lasting up to 180 days. Offered through our partnership with Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) and provided by Assist America, Inc., it provides 24/7 toll-free emergency support for you, your spouse, and dependent children up to age 25. Although it is NOT travel insurance, Assist America helps you prepare for your trip and navigate unexpected situations while away. Services include assistance with finding qualified medical and legal providers, as well as help replacing lost credit cards or passports. All services must be arranged through Assist America, as it coordinates and covers the costs directly—reimbursement claims are not accepted. While assistance is available worldwide, response times for transportation services may vary depending on the location and local jurisdiction.

Life Services Toolkit
After losing a loved one, beneficiaries often have to cope with grief while also handling urgent tasks like funeral arrangements and estate matters. To help during this challenging time, Standard Insurance Company offers the Life Services Toolkit, in partnership with Morneau Shepell, to support beneficiaries for 12 months after receiving a life insurance claim.
The toolkit includes a range of helpful services:
- Grief support: Connect with trained counselors by phone, access up to six in-person sessions, and receive recommended resources, including materials for children and teens.
- Legal services: Get a free 30-minute consultation with an attorney, discounted legal fees, and access to essential estate planning documents such as a will or power of attorney.
- Financial assistance: Receive unlimited phone support for budgeting, debt, and credit concerns, along with the option to schedule more in-depth sessions.
- Support services: Find help with everyday needs like childcare, eldercare, home maintenance, or moving.
In addition, beneficiaries can access an online platform with tools for planning funerals, managing finances, preventing identity theft, and preparing legal documents.
All services are provided by experienced professionals, including counselors, attorneys, and financial experts, ensuring reliable and compassionate support.
